The design for this table is based on George Nakashima's Frenchman's Cove table. The table is made entirely from walnut. I tried to stay true to Nakashima's design accept for the addition of the top stretcher to stiffen the base when the top is removed. The edge of the table top is beveled at a 15 degree angle to soften the edges and match the angles in the base. It is finished with Rubio Monocoat for a very natural looking matte finish.
